About the Photo Contest

Each year, the Elkford Public Library holds a photo contest. In September, community members of all ages can submit their 5×7″ photos for a chance to win. The photos are judged by a panel of volunteers in October and the winners are announced early November. The theme and categories change each year and are advertised in advance. There are cash prizes, as well as door/draw prizes for those who attend the awards ceremony. Participants are encouraged to take photos year round and showcase things they love about Elkford!

Photo Contest Calendar

After the contest, the winning photos as well as many others are compiled into a calendar for the following year. Calendars can be purchased at the library in December and proceeds go to supporting programs at the library.
