BC Summer Reading Club 2023

Join is online and in-person this year for summer reading club! Register for our in-person program at the library and/or our online program at bcsrc.ca. Note registration for the online program does NOT get you a spot in our local activities, you must register for each separately.

Summer reading club runs July 11-13, 18-21 for ages 5 to 12. This year’s summer reading club theme is Journey Through Time.

Sub-themes:

  • Dynamic Dinosaurs – Prehistoric life
  • Living Large – Art, culture, daily life
  • Beautiful Builds – Architecture, buildings, bridges
  • Terrific Transportation – Transportation throughout history and what’s to come
  • Ingenious Inventions – Past, present, and future
  • Rollin’ with Retro – Retro classics
  • Far Out Future – What’s to come

 

About BC Summer Reading Club

BC Summer Reading Club is a free literacy program encourages reading throughout the summer and engages children (ages 5-14 years old) with their public library. Summer Reading Club is a fun, educational, inclusive and community-oriented program that began over 30 years ago in 1990.

BC Summer Reading Club is sponsored by the British Columbia Library Association and BC public libraries with the generous assistance of Public Libraries Branch, Ministry of Municipal Affairs, and CUPE BC.
